WG Hub Live – Later Life Lending & Financial Planning
Speaker – Adrian Seager | Ward Goodman
Adrian enjoyed a long and successful career in the Royal Navy. The highlight of which was serving as a permanent crew member on-board Her Majesty’s Royal Yacht Britannia.
In 1990, having retired he returned to his roots back here in Dorset. He then became an IFA with a well-known high street bank. Since then given his time served, he has evolved into a natural specialist in the area of later life lending and financial planning.
He now specialises in advice in the Equity Release market, which is an increasingly important solution needed by many clients approaching and entering into retirement. Adrian’s meetings often contain discussions around the bank of Mum and Dad for those who want their house back, and increasingly, the bank of Grandad and Grandma for clients who have potential inheritance tax concerns.
Speaker – Emma Needham | Blanchards Bailey
Emma works in the private client department and specialises in Wills, probate and estate administration. Emma administers elderly client affairs under lasting powers of attorney.
Emma has always enjoyed interacting with people and their families and gets to do this in all aspects of her work in the private client department; from helping families plan the future in their Will, assisting those who have lost the ability to manage their affairs on their own, through to helping families in the difficult time of dealing with a bereavement in the family and administering their estate.
As well as working with families, Emma enjoys the intellectual challenge that comes from Will drafting and estate planning, and the diversity of situations that have to be dealt with.
