After several intense weeks of competition in the UPL (Ultimate Pool League) here at Ward Goodman, we’re thrilled to announce our champion: Adam Cousins, Senior Audit Apprentice! A huge congratulations also goes out to Simon Rickard, Client Service Manager, for securing a strong second place. After such a hard-fought contest, it’s time for a well-earned break from the action. But don’t go far – stay tuned for exciting updates on the Ward Goodman Pool League as we unveil our plans for the new year!
On Friday, September 27th, the entire Ward Goodman team came together for a team building day. The day kicked off with a company-wide catchup session, where we reflected on our progress and shared future goals. As the day unfolded, it was filled with laughter, connection, and a spirited sense of competition with thrilling activities such as archery, treasure hunt & laser tag. It was a fantastic day of teamwork, fun, and positive energy, truly celebrating what makes Ward Goodman EPIC!
The Ward Goodman accountancy team held their annual away day on Thursday, 12th December, to reflect on the successes of the past year and focus on the opportunities ahead. The day kicked off with a business planning session, reviewing key achievements and progress made throughout the year. This was followed by a social lunch, providing a chance to connect and unwind, before the team took on a thrilling competition at the Escape Rooms.
Once in a while, we like to get the whole team together and out of the office to reconnect, and celebrate the great work that gets done for our valued clients each and every day. Recently, we took to Salisbury Races to enjoy each other’s company and some rare warm weather!
We hosted the Macmillan Caring Locally Christmas Quiz and are thrilled to announce we raised over £200 for this incredible charity!
We want to thank all who joined in and made the evening special. And, of course, big thanks to James, our fantastic Quizmaster, who always keeps us on our toes and entertained!
As one of our Golden Partners, Macmillan Caring Locally—based in Christchurch—holds a special place in our hearts. Their work supporting patients and families is truly inspiring, and we’re honoured to contribute to their efforts.
Here’s to more events that bring us together for a great cause!❤️
Ward Goodman has sponsored Tom Froud, one of our auditors, and Cranborne First, their local football team, for their training kits for this season.
Part of the Ward Goodman team went to cheer on the team, and they scored 2-0 against Sherborne Town Reserves; it was a great atmosphere and fun getting into the spirit!
Our Ward Goodman employees showed up to support the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance and the County Hospital Appeal with a quiz night at Wimborne Town Football Club on September 19th. We enjoyed grouping up in teams of 8 to show off our best trivia skills! A big thank you to everyone who showed up to play and support this great cause!
